Go Bald For Bidmead

Dear MLS UK Readers,

As some of you may already know, several months ago we received sad news from one of our editors, Daniel Bidmead. Danny was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer, and over the past few months and weeks has started to battle the illness through chemotherapy sessions.

In support of Danny’s continuing fight to overcome this horrible disease, we have decided to do as much as we can to support and encourage him through this tough period.

Bye, Bye Benny by Jon Parker

The New England Revolution saw a great many changes throughout the 2012 season, sweeping reform under new head coach, Jay Heaps, saw many players go in and out of Foxboro. These sweeping changes have continued to take place into the offseason, and this week came the news that high profile, ‘marmite’ midfielder, Benny Feilhaber, was the latest player being pointed towards the exit.

Chivas USA appoints Jose Luis Sánchez Solá as Head Coach by Andrew Watson

Chivas USA today finally announced that Jose Luis Sánchez Solá, or ‘El Chelis’ as he is known, would be the new Head Coach of the Rojiblancos. His appointment comes after weeks of rumors regarding who would be replacing Robin Fraser and also past the time frame given to fans by owner Jorge Vergara.
